According to NRCS, the crop and hay land has Class III Soils, Heimdal-Esmond loams with a 6-9% slope, and average Productivity Index (PI) of 56. The balance of the land is predominantly Esmond-Heimdal loams, Barnes-Buse-Parnell complex and Hemdal-Emrick loams for an overall average PI of 51.2 for pasture, crop & hayland.
